Getting Ready To Start

Starting a new job can feel daunting, but at Ashbrook Court we’re here to make sure you feel supported and welcomed from day one. Whether you’re joining us with experience or trying something completely new, you’ll find everything you need to quickly settle in.

From the moment you get shortlisted, a member of Team Support will become your go-to person throughout the application process. This includes preparing for interview, and if you’re successful, helping you arrange your Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check, references, and organising any training you need before starting your new role. Don’t worry, all training is paid for, so you can start earning straight away.

We also have a comprehensive nurse training programme, and can support your Nursing and Midwifery Council revalidation and continuing professional development. Our group clinical lead is available for help and guidance.

Rochelle is our friendly, first point of contact for new applicants. An expert in care sector recruitment, she shortlists applications and arranges interviews. Rochelle welcomes connecting with candidates who share a passion for making a difference to people’s lives.

Michelle ensures we attract and retain the very best people to care for our treasured residents. With 15 years’ recruitment experience and a passion for the care sector, Michelle shapes the process for welcoming new joiners, sharing our culture and values, and helping everyone settle quickly into their new roles. Her team also has the fun job of planning exciting events and initiatives throughout the year to celebrate and reward team members’ dedication.

A Warm Welcome

From your very first day at Ashbrook Court you’ll receive a warm welcome and thorough induction to help you settle in. You’ll meet your friendly team, tour the home to meet our residents and learn all about how we work together to make life special for each person we care for. You’ll shadow experienced care supervisors whilst you learn the role and complete your training, before becoming a fully-fledged member of our team. Your ‘buddy’ will be on-hand throughout to support and guide you, making sure you’re happy and settled.

As a new team member, you’ll attend Insight to welcome and prepare you for success in your new role. The information day is full of energy and fun and will give you the opportunity to learn more about our mission and values. Meet our founder Alnur, members of our senior team and other team members from homes across our group. We promise you’ll come away inspired and uplifted!
