Led by our inspirational clinical manager, Victoria Forsythe, who has more than 30 years’ experience in the care sector, we have a longstanding and dedicated team [hyperlink] of registered nurses, carers and therapeutic support staff. The stability of our team ensures we know and understand our residents exceptionally well and support each other to deliver the high-quality residential, nursing and dementia care our treasured residents deserve. How we support
At Water Mill House, every individual is valued and cared for like family. Our amazing residents are central to life here, it is their home, and we feel privileged to be a part of their lives. Our resident committee shapes how we run the home through their invaluable insight and input. We hold a weekly residents’ forum to hear their ideas and celebrate a different “Resident of the Day” every day, ensuring everyone feels valued and heard. From the expert care we provide and delicious meals [link dining options] we serve, to the varied activities [link] and therapies we offer, everything is tailored to our residents’ needs, wishes and preferences.
We pride ourselves on truly understanding each resident – their life story, their hopes, their fears, and their joys. Through innovations, such as Namaste Care to intergenerational programmes like our Duke of Edinburgh youth volunteers, we are always looking to enrich our residents’ lives and support them to continue to play an active role in our local community.
A welcoming home
We extend this same care to our families, who are always welcome, day and night. We encourage them to share their thoughts and feedback after each visit and during our monthly friends and family meetings. Visitors can join for a meal, an activity session, or take part in our many celebrations throughout the year. We also run regular carer events and are always on hand to listen and offer advice whenever you need us.
Our luxurious home is purpose-built and designed to be the perfect blend of both spacious and inviting, offering a variety of stunning spaces for residents and their loved ones to enjoy together. From our private dining room, which can be hired for special events, and cosy cinema to the tranquil gardens, Water Mill House provides a welcoming home that provides opportunities to create precious moments with family and friends.

The home is well run by management and nurses. Food is good with a variety of different dishes available. A variety of activities are offered and special days celebrated. The staff really care for residents making them as comfortable as possible. The décor, rooms and communal areas are designed to make residents feel at home.

The staff were so supportive when we brought Dad in. They have kept us updated and nothing is too much trouble. Dad has settled in well, seems happy, and always says how lovely everyone is. We now have peace of mind knowing Dad is safe and well cared for.

Overall very happy! The reception staff always friendly and happy. Staff are happy to talk and help with any questions we may have. Lunch looks delicious. Hairdresser, maintenance, housekeeping, and activities, all fantastic. Nurses, always about to answer questions.

Today our beautiful Shirley went to get her nails done at the usual Salon she goes to and a kind hearted soul named Joanna sat and chatted with us, at the end of her treatment she paid for nails and treated Shirley by paying her bill too 💅 🥺🥰
