Ryszard Wasiek a Care Assistant from Chingford has won a Heart of Gold Award at a ceremony at Ashbrook Court Care Home in Waltham Abbey today, Wednesday September 16th. Ryszard has worked at Ashbrook Court for four years.

The Awards seek to recognise employees for their dedication and commitment in providing high quality care and compassion to all the home’s residents.

Louise Baxter, manager of Ashbrook Court said: “Those who have been nominated do not just do their jobs, they consistently demonstrate compassion and dedication to make our residents lives better each and every day.

“Ryszard fully deserves this very special recognition. He is gentle, kind hearted and down to earth and always goes the extra mile to make our residents comfortable and happy.”

Ryszard was presented with an etched glass plaque to commemorate his success and an Armani watch by Alnur Dhanani, Chairman of Carebase, the company that owns Ashbrook Court Care Home. Nominations for the award came from residents and their relatives, co-workers, social workers and local health professionals.
