On Friday 21 November Queen Elizabeth Park Care home in Guildford won the Care Team Award at the Surrey Care Awards at the finals held at Epsom Downs racecourse in Surrey.

This prestigious win shows high praise and recognition of the excellent team at Queen Elizabeth Park and is also an example of Carebase’s effective strategy to recruit and retain the best staff possible in its homes, offering continuity and high quality care for residents.

This impressive accolade specifically acknowledges and celebrates Queen Elizabeth Park’s commitment and approach to ensuring all its staff feel valued and engaged to deliver the very highest standards of care and support to its residents as a united team. The Guildford care home invests in its staff through training and professional development, recognising excellence and sharing best practice and ideas. The award also highlights that Queen Elizabeth Park’s team has a shared vision, agreed goals and an excellent communication process.

As well as the fantastic win for Queen Elizabeth Park, its sister Guildford home, Claremont Court, was delighted to have a finalist at the Awards ceremony. Sam Scutt from Claremont Court was shortlisted for achieving the Most Innovative Activity Programme involving Service Users.

Guest of honour, Sir Richard Stilgoe, hosted this year’s sixth Surrey Care Awards and BBC Surrey compered the event at Epsom Downs.
